Christmas at The Old Crown

Christmas at The Old Crown is always a special occasion! We make sure to pull out all the stops for our customers, staff and of course the community, so everyone can enjoy the holidays.

On December 23rd staff will be volunteering their time to feed those in need. We will be offering free Christmas dinners and accepting care package donations (backpacks, hygiene products, weather proof clothes etc) to make sure no one is alone this Christmas and that they are prepared for the winter months.

If you want to get involved, we will be accepting donations in the pub from December 12th of:

  • Rucksacks – the larger the better
  • Sleeping bags
  • Unopened toiletries – toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc.
  • Wet weather jackets (and trousers) – male/female
  • Male & female socks&trainers

We’re well known for our Sunday Roasts and like to think we make one of the best pub grubs in Birmingham, so we’re sparing no expense on quality or flavour for this year’s Christmas dinner! You can read the full menu here, but the highlights for us are the crispy goats cheese, myrrh fig & orange salad, pan roast salmon fillet and of course the golden crown turkey.

Read the full menu here.

Limited spaces are available, book yours by ringing the pub on 0121 248 1368.

The pub itself has of course been kitted out into Digbeth’s winter wonderland. What was summer’s social hub is now a festive grotto as our beer garden and containers have been adorned with lights, snow, candy canes and more. You never know, Santa Claus himself may stop by for a few drinks in his own grotto soon…

The festivities will continue well after Christmas has been and gone, as MoHo are hosting one last New Year’s Eve bash here on December 31st. For the final time MoHo all star DJs will be hosting The Last Darnce, and its looking like a sell out event. Get your tickets here.

Be sure to keep up to date on all the festivities by liking us on Facebook. From everyone at The Old Crown, we hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
