It’s Our Birthday!

And there ain’t no party like an Old Crown party! 🥳🥳🥳

We’re pulling out all the stops for our birthday this year, making up for a little break in the celebrations last year and having a TWO DAY FREE PARTY! We’ll be celebrating the old girl’s 653rd birthday on Friday 24th September AND Saturday 25th September…

On Friday 24th we’ve got live music from the amazing Liamosino and the sensational Lobster! Liamosino, front man of local psych rock band Brain Food will be bringing his experimental/alternative vibes to the pub garden. 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻

Lobster, Reggae & hip-hop influenced punk band from Birmingham have been bringing the punk reggae style since 09 and we can’t wait to have them down in Digbeth to party it up Old Crown style!

On Saturday, we’ll have Old Crown regular Ash Sheehan. The singer songwriter and member of legendary Brummie band, The Twang, will be bringing his soulful acoustic vibes to the party… ✨✨✨

November at The Old Crown

As winter is approaching for us here at The Old Crown, we’d like to let you know about all the amazing things that we have going on here as we head into the festive months ahead.

Under The Covers

We don’t like seeing any of you lot going bracing the cold to enjoy a few drinks with us here at The Old Crown which is why we have erected a brand new beer garden. A brand new cover and heating system has been installed so that you can be sure that you can enjoy a few drinks safely outside without packing the layers.

Bottomless Drinks!

We are also very excited to be bringing you bottomless prosecco and pizza brunch every Friday. That’s right, two hours of unlimited bubbles and pizza from 4PM onwards! Pizza’s include Pepperoni and Chorizo, Classic Margherita and Garden Pizza for our meat-free guests. Sittings take place in our heated and covered beer garden with tickets priced at £25. More of a Sunday person? We have extended this offer to our Sunday lunches too, bringing you two courses including a starter and a roast or a main plus unlimited drinks for the duration of your session. This is perfect for the little ones too, with a child’s drink, main and dessert for just £9 – we’ll even throw a colouring-in activity for them too.

Live Music

With live music as we know it off the cards for a while, we’re happy to bring you some acoustic sessions in our garden every weekend. We are proud to be hosting some of Birmingham’s best grassroots talent throughout November including Esther Turner, Sean Kenwrick, local legend and drummer from The Twang, Ash Sheehan.

Getting spooky at The Old Crown

Brave enough to back yourself or scared at the sight of trivia?

Now the weathers turned and the long nights of Autumn are upon us it can mean only one thing, Halloween is on its way, along with the Old Crown’s annual Halloween pub quiz.

It’s time to dust off the fancy dress cob-webs and put that scarily useless general knowledge to good use. Get out of the elements and into a warm, cosy pub for an evening of testing your credentials across a number of the spookiest subjects you can dare to think of. As always there’s some fang-tastic prizes to be won such as a £50 bar tab, so trick or treat yourself and grab a table.
