#DigbethStPats is back for 2020!

It wouldn’t be The Old Crown without St. Patrick’s Day, and this year its bigger, better and more Irish than ever! Throughout one week in March, seven events will celebrate all that’s great about St. Patrick’s in Birmingham. From legendary Irish live music acts to quizzes and special celebrity guests, there’s something for everyone.

Highland Park Whisky Tasting

Kicking things off on Monday, 9th March are Highland Park with their exclusive whisky tasting event. Highland Park will take you on a journey of some of the best loved and most renowned drams – discussing the production, flavours and history with an official Highland Park representative. Father Ted Quiz

Join us as we put our knowledge to the test on Wednesday, 11th March at our Father Ted Quiz – featuring Father Damo and Eoin McLove! Test your knowledge on the hit TV show and all things Irish with this quiz hosted by Joe Rooney (Father Damo) and Pat McDonnell (Eoin McLove) featuring comedy sketches and themed prizes. Tickets are selling fast for this, so grab yours quick!

An Evening With Paul McGrath

The Irish footballing legend Paul McGrath is back by popular demand at The Old Crown on Thursday, 12th March. Join in as Paul McGrath discusses his career highlights, explaining how he became one of the most high profile figures in Irish sporting history. This event takes place in our heated outdoor marquee in the Guinness village, with food available on the night. Evening with Paul McGrath always sell out, and this one is shaping up to be the same way, so be sure to grab your tickets now.

Fleetwood Mac Vs Queen

Calling all rock and rollers, Freddie Mercury fans and Fleetwood fanatics, on Friday 13th March we have a treat in store for you! We’ll be playing the best of Queen and Fleetwood Mac for FREE in beer garden with live dancers and more!  St. Patrick’s Parade Fundraiser with Goats Don’t Shave

On Saturday, 14th March, we’re excited to announce we have legendary Irish performers Goats Don’t Shave live in our Guinness Village. Forming in 1990 in County Donegal after a trip down the pub, Goats Don’t Shave have come one of the most popular bands Ireland have produced. Hear them perform Irish party classics like ‘Las Vegas in the Hills of Donegal’ between the Six Nations Super Saturday screening on our 12ft screens. All ticket money will be going towards the St. Patrick’s Festival Parade fundraiser, to keep one of the biggest St. Patrick’s festivals in Europe on the streets of Brum!

The Big Parade Day Party

Last but by no means least is the day you’ve all been waiting for… The St. Patrick’s Parade Day Party! Everyone knows The Old Crown is the place to be on Sunday, March 15th, as we have some of the best performers in Birmingham on our stage. Jack Banting, The Grandmaster, Cassie-Philomena Smyth, Paddy Daddy ft. Lee Mac and more secret special guests will all be bringing the craic for an all day party. What’s more, Guinness will be providing St. Patrick’s Day treat, including your own selfie on a Guinness stoutie! Remember, there are no advance tickets for our Parade Day Party, so be sure to get down before doors at 11am to secure your spot. See you in the queue…
