A final treat for you all, you may have noticed that big white Rolls Royce in our garden… its not exactly missable. Well we’ve got big plans for it. We’ll be having it sprayed LIVE at our 651st birthday celebrations. Oh yeah, and it’s being sprayed by one of the UK’s biggest graffiti artists.

That’s all for now, we’ll be seeing you on 21st September. Everyone report to The Old Crown! 5PM SHARP.

Great British Pub Awards ‘Best Pub Garden’ Nomination

What a summer its been for The Old Crown! After taking home ‘Best Traditional pub’ in the Midlands’ Food, Drink & Hospitality awards back in June, we’ve been nominated for another award! This time around we’re up for ‘Best Pub Garden’ in the Great British Pub Awards!

We’re delighted to be nominated after all the hard work we’ve put into our garden this summer, Digbeth’s number one suntrap is in the final 6 of all beer gardens in the country!

With new additions to the garden including our big screen area, and our stunning all new one-of-a-kind mural courtesy of Annatomix, the only way is up for the Old Crown garden, and you bet we’ve still got a bunch of plans in store to round off the Brummie summer!

Most importantly, we think the Old Crown garden is a great space for our wonderful Digbeth community. Our garden acts as a melting pot between young and old, those who come to eat, to dance, and to relax. We love Digbeth, and we’re proud to represent it in being nominated for this award.

We’ve had a fantastic year, from our St.Paddy’s day festivities to showing Wimbledon in the baking sun, what a perfect send off to summer this would be. Either way, you bet we’ll be celebrating a fantastic year in the Old Crown garden! You can vote via the Great British Pub Awards website.

Serving up summer: Wimbledon on the big screens!

After catching every kick, pass and celebration at The World Cup, and the laughs and tears at the Love Island final last year, we’ve brought the big screen back in the garden to serve every bit of the action for Wimbledon!

Taking place between July 1st – 14th, all the Wimbledon action will be live on the big screen in our botanical gin garden all fro free entry. Tennis fans will be to catch all the action from Wimbledon all the way through to the men’s and women’s quarter finals, semi finals and finals in Digbeth’s best known and much loved sun trap.

As well as soaking up the sun, trying our delicious new menu and sipping on one of our 30 botanical gins, we’ll be serving up strawberries by the punnet and pitchers of Pimm’s to complete the quintessentially British summer.

Wimbledon Live on the Big Screen is part of The Old Crown’s 12 Weeks of Summer event schedule, jam packed with something for everyone.
