The Old Crown Is Back!

It has felt like an absolute lifetime since we last welcomed you all through the doors here at The Old Crown. So much has changed since then and it looks like we will be back to full service as we know and love it by the summer. However, for now, we are crossing our fingers and toes that we can open back up again on 12th April in line with phase 1 of easing of restrictions.

We will initially be opening up our outdoor gardens for a whole host of fun, socially distanced events as part of our reopening roadmap. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has booked their tickets so far, if you missed out, fear not! Simply sign up to our mailing list here to be the first to hear about ticket availability and new events.

What’s on?

We will be putting on a load of our favourite local acts in our first week back with live music coming from the electrifying brass outfit Heavy Beat Brass Band and local acoustic legend Ash Sheehan alongside DJ’s Tom Mason, Jordan Lott, and Alex Macaroni who will be getting the summer groove starting. These settings are all currently sold out but please keep an eye on our social media for news on upcoming events!

End Of Lockdown Pub Bingo will also be taking place in the beer garden on 14th April, bringing us back to some kind of normality as we spin the balls and look back at what has been a rather peculiar 12 months. There are loads of great prizes up for grabs for this one so make sure you get your tickets here

For those of you who love a bit of TV trivia, we’ve got a line up of quizzes to finally put all those hours of binge-watching your favourite series to good use. All quizzes include top prizes for the winning teams. Announced so far is:

Thursday 29th April – Ru Paul’s Drag Race Quiz

Thursday 6th May – The Peep Show Quiz

Thursday 13th May – Gavin & Stacey Pub quiz

You can get your tickets for our quizzes here

We have loads more events to announce for spring and summer over the next couple of weeks so keep your eyes peeled on our social media to stay updated with everything going on.

Staying Safe

Keeping our customers and staff safe was our top priority when we opened up last summer and will be at the forefront of our initial reopening plans as we reopen with social distancing measures still in places.

We will be taking extra steps to ensure everyone at The Old Crown is kept safe including implementing hand sanitisation stations, face coverings and track and trace. We kindly request that if you are joining us that you play your part and follow our safety and social distancing guidelines.

We look forward to seeing you all from 12th April!
